Consortium Overview
“In just one year, C-CIDE has given me more traction
than I could have done on my own.”
– Graduate Dean
The Equity in Graduate Education Consortium brings together change-ready universities, graduate programs, and leaders to align policies and practices with commitments to equity and inclusion. We make the social science of racial equity in graduate education accessible, and build supportive, sustainable infrastructure for change.
The Consortium reimagines, refines, and institutionalizes more equitable practices through:
- Training on evidence-based, equity-minded admissions, recruitment, and mentoring practices
- Coaching and learning communities for graduate programs to bring about institutional change
- Developing infrastructure for faculty development in graduate schools and other organizations.
We take seriously the need to reconfigure systems. Our work and partners address longstanding racial disparities and how racism intersects with other systems of power in organizations. We create community and a culture of learning, as ends in themselves and as strategies for equity.
