A third of college graduates today go on to pursue graduate education. Graduate programs develop tomorrow’s faculty and many of society’s leaders, so addressing inequities in graduate education has ripple effects throughout higher education and society. We are focused on examining and improving institutional policy and practice, with special attention to the work of faculty and others whose work touches graduate students.
Our work facilitates a cycle of theory and practice, and we have been recognized for both rigorous research and supporting adoption of equity-minded change in individuals and organizations. We work in partnership with major universities and disciplinary societies to transform systems for selecting and serving students. Our diverse team is committed to reducing barriers and creating more inclusive educational environments, especially for women, racially minoritized, and other marginalized students in higher education.
